Crossroads Ranch seeks to provide that positive environment in a fun, yet purposeful and challenging way.
2026 Horse Camp Registration
Our horse camps are designed as a meaningful overnight experience where campers grow in confidence, connection, and responsibility – all in a safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment.
Throughout the week, campers will learn about all things horse through hands-on experiences with our incredible herd – Rocky, Bindi, Diesel, Bear, Ebby, Misty, Odie, and Annie.
Horses are not just part of the activities; they are central to how campers learn, grow, and discover their potential.Camp sizes are intentionally limited to ensure every camper feels seen, supported, and successful. No prior horse experience is necessary.
Camp Experience Highlights
Throughout the week, campers will enjoy a well-balanced mix of learning, movement, creativity, and fun:

🐴 What ages can attend Summer Camp?
Our overnight Summer Camp is designed for youth ages 9–15. Campers are grouped by age and maturity to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
🐴 Does my child need horse experience?
No prior horse experience is required. Camp activities are designed for both beginners and experienced riders, with instruction tailored to each camper’s comfort and skill level.
🐴 Is this a riding camp?
Yes — but it’s more than just riding! Our focus is on confidence, communication, responsibility, and connection — not just time in the saddle. Campers will participate in:
-
Group Riding Lessons
-
Groundwork and horsemanship
-
Horse care and safety
-
Leadership and life-skills activities partnering with our horses
🐴 Where do campers sleep?
Campers stay overnight on the ranch in our bunkhouse. Our camp counselor and staff is onsite at all times to ensure safety, structure, and support throughout the night.
🐴 Are boys and girls allowed?
Yes! If we have both attend, the girls will sleep in the bunkhouse and the boys will sleep in the camper!
🐴 What is the staff-to-camper ratio?
We intentionally keep camp sizes manageable to ensure each camper is known, supported, and encouraged. Our experienced directors and camp counselors provide close supervision during all activities.
🐴 What about safety around horses?
Safety is our top priority. Campers receive instruction on:
-
Horse behavior and body language
-
Safe handling and riding practices
-
Proper use of equipment
All horse activities are supervised by certified instructors. Helmets are required for riding.
🐴 What should my child bring?
A detailed packing list will be provided after registration and includes clothing, bedding, toiletries, and personal items. Riding helmets are provided if campers do not have their own.
🐴 Can campers contact home during the week?
Camp is designed to help kids unplug and fully engage in the experience. Camper may bring their cellphone, but will be asked to keep their phone in the classroom during active programming, but kids are free to contact parents during down time. Parents can contact the Directors at any point of the week. Our staff will contact families immediately if there are any concerns.
🐴 What if my child has dietary needs or medical concerns?
We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical needs. These details will be collected during registration so our team can plan accordingly. Campers are welcome to bring their own food if they’d prefer. We have a fridge and freezer in the camp classroom.
